Since 1977, CS, headquartered in Monee Illinois U.S.A. has been one of the leading designers and manufacturers of audio, video and data cables and systems in the industry.
We began as a large touring sound company in the early 1970's. At that time there was nowhere to go for rugged cabling that could withstand 200+ shows per year. That led to us designing and building our own cables and snakes. We eventually saw a void in the music industry that our knowledge and experience could fill... the need for high quality American Made Audio Cables and Systems.
By 1977 we devoted our energies to forming a company that could build those products for the entire music retail and live sound industries. Within a few years our products were represented in thousands of music retail outlets and used by professionals worldwide.
Today our client base includes, music retailers, sound contracting firms, recording studios, production companies, touring sound companies, stage lighting companies and OEM.
Over 4000 products are hand built in our plant by skilled technicians and we distribute thousands more. We were also the first company of our type to offer a lifetime warranty on every product we manufacture. In addition, most of our clients have been with us for over 25 years. This commitment speaks volumes about our quality, integrity and reliability.
Whether your needs are one cable or 1000, we will treat your order the same, ship in a timely manner and at some of the best prices in the industry.

The premise was simple, design instrument cables that accomplished three functions:
transfer tone from the instrument to the amplifier or board as if there was nothing
between the two, build them tough enough to withstand the rigors of daily road use
and be affordable.
The cables had to be hand built in our Monee, IL plant and use only the finest
materials we could find. We teamed up with Gepco International, who’s reputation in
the audio industry is unparalleled, and together designed our Optima wire using their
amazing engineers and our ears. It doesn’t matter how much hype you put into a wire,
if it doesn’t sound good, it isn’t good. The next step was to filter through the array of
1/4” plugs available on the market to find the best match for our wire. After three
months of prototypes, we chose specific designs utilizing Neutrik, Switchcraft and
G&H, all of which passed our tests for best sound quality and durability.
The final testing was done through dozens of musicians, recording engineers, live
sound technicians and guitar shop owners. Virtually every “high end” guitar cable we
could find was used in the comparisons.
The consensus was that the Custom Shop cables sounded:
Richer, more even across the entire musical spectrum
Crisper top end, very even middle and a more defined bottom end
Louder as a result of nothing interfering with the signal flow
No signal loss because of the super low shield resistance
Stage quiet; no crackle, pop or any other noise
In the end, our cables had to be priced so that the average Musician could afford them.
While many manufacturers rely on smoke and mirrors to justify their outrageous
prices, we just followed our normal pricing structure.
Others try and dazzle with their infomercial type jargon, frivolous descriptions and
planetary evolution theories. We simply tell you to listen.
