Allow users to adapt XTS 5000 portable radio for mobile operation. Providing in-vehicle rapid and trickle charging for NiCd, NiMH and Li-ion batteries, these units offer quick radio release, dead battery operation, and are powered by attaching the radio supply cable to the 12V battery located inside police cars, utility trucks or other vehicles. Connectors are provided for the vehicle’s external antenna, mobile microphone and optional amplified loudspeaker HSN1000B – all required to allow operation of the portable radio in a way that is similar to that of a mobile. Also included is a general interface connector for additional accessories. A colored LED indicates battery recharge status. For XTVA operation, a microphone and RF Switch NTN8327A are required
