Simplified controls
Users have the choice of two dedicated knobs for volume and channel control or an option for one enlarged multi-function knob.

Integrated GPS
Enables accountability and location tracking of an individual, which can be sent to a map-based location application. Optional feature and requires ASTRO 25 Integrated Voice and Data.

Encryption
Optional FIPS 140-2 Level 3 AES certified hardware encryption provides tamper-proof security to ensure secure communications.

Text messaging
Offers a freeform or canned messaging solution so you can efficiently and discreetly send and receive messages. Optional feature and requires ASTRO 25 Integrated Voice and Data.

Over-the-air programming
POP25 solution allows portable and mobile radios to be programmed over the air via the ASTRO 25 systems while remaining in the field. Optional feature and requires ASTRO 25 Integrated Voice and Data.

XE SERIES REMOTE SPEAKER MICROPHONE (RSM)
Designed by Firefighters for Firefighters. These rugged microphones have exaggerated controls
you can operate with bulky gloves and an asymmetrical shape so you can find the controls you
need without looking. The new XE500 RSM features a designated Channel Knob that has been
designed to mimic the Channel Knob of the radio. The XE500 utilizes 5 integrated microphones and
an Adaptive Audio Engine which automatically changes the level of noise suppression, microphone
gain, windporting and speaker equalization to produce clear and loud audio an any environment.
The strategic placement of the microphones and enhanced water drainage provide users with the
flexibility to wear it straight, upside down and even sideways.
